Recycling and putting away trash:

Leashes

Leashes are another thing where dogs often don’t seem to understand, and if they get it tangled around a tree they can be helpless. But in this case, this dog seems to understand. My dog, and many other dogs I’ve seen, are absolutely helpless when a leash gets caught around something. I’ve never seen a dog figure out how to unwind itself. At least this one has figure out that it can pull a cat with a leash.

Monkey Turning off Faucet

I like this one because it shows that it knows to turn it off… I’m curious if that’s because it saw others do that, or it intuitively knows that the supply of water is limited and it should be preserved (probably the first).

Gorilla Using View-Master

This is Koko, perhaps the most famous gorilla. His behavior is the result of years of training and interacting with humans, so while it doesn’t show natural behavior, it does show what they are able to learn.

Magpie Using Water Displacement

Note: This has been sped up 3X

This should probably be in a separate page about problem solving. Also, note that it’s not an Australian magpie.

Orangutan Canoeing

This is certainly the result of interaction with humans:

Dog Taking Care of Patient

This one seems sped up. Will have to double check.

Unscrewing lids

Note: there’s more to this one as well, but I only uploaded 20 seconds of it.

Jenga

This one is much longer… I’ll upload the rest at some point

This is a very famous dog. Worth following on instagram.
